Stan’s Donuts Are Getting Neutered
Stan’s four kittens, Beignet, Apple Fritter, Peanut Butter Pocket, and Boston Cream, are almost ready for adoption. The actual Stan’s Donuts has agreed to give a dozen donuts to the lucky adopters of each.
CHICAGO, IL – October 2, 2019 – A young, neutered male cat named Stan was recently admitted to Tree House Humane Society along with four unrelated kittens. The kittens, it seems, sought Stan out in his cage, seemingly looking for comfort, and they all became a team. Making a sweet story even sweeter, Stan’s Donuts & Coffee will be giving away a dozen free donuts with the adoption of each kitten.
Tree House frequently pulls cats from the city shelter to assist with overcrowding issues, which is where they found Stan. Tree House and other shelters see vast numbers of kittens coming in with mothers during the summer season. Many kittens arrive orphaned, but it is rare to find a group of kittens with a male cat. All five cats arrived at Tree House in the same carrier, and Tree House was surprised by the level of caring Stan showed to the kittens, a rarity for a male cat, and immediately put up a video of the adorable snuggles on YouTube.
Tree House’s Shelter Shift Lead Grace Ryan decided to name the kittens after donuts. When Tree House reached out to Stan’s Donuts to see if they’d be interested in supporting the adoptions, they were all for it.
“We were excited to be able to help support the adoption of these kittens,” said Stan’s Donuts. “The aim of our business is to bring a smile to peoples’ faces every day, so we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the adoption of these kittens than with some of our favorite donuts.”
Stan’s will be serving up a dozen donuts to each adopter of any of the five, and they’re helping Tree House spread the word.
All five cats will be spending some time in foster homes prior to being adopted to make sure they’re healthy and ready for their neuter surgeries. Tree House is seeking adopters and donations to help care for these five cats. Potential adopters should check Tree House’s website for real time updates on adoptable cats. Stan will be available for adoption this Friday, October 4.
