Our hours are subject to change.

The following reflect updates as of April, 2021.

Adoption Information

Adoption Hours: By Appointment Only. Maximum of four people per appointment.

NEW appointments released weekly

We’re revising our adoption process to meet demand and place more cats in forever homes. To ensure you have the best chance of meeting a cat you are interested in, we will be opening up new availability each Monday for the following week’s worth of appointments.

For example: new appointment availability will open on May 3rd at 12 pm for the following week of May 11th. That means we’ll have two weeks of adoption appointments available at any given time. In addition, we will no longer be requiring 72 hours notice for new adoption appointments.

If you don’t see an available adoption appointment, don’t fret! Cancellations happen often, so check back here or give us a call to see if there are any openings.

Can’t make your appointment? Let us know, and we’ll get you rescheduled so someone else can take your open slot and meet their new family member!

REGARDING KITTENS

You may have seen some cute kittens on our social media feeds! That’s because it’s kitten season, when mother cats typically give birth and our volume of kittens drastically increases. While we’re eager to get these kittens into homes, they are not adoptable right away. We send kittens home with our trusted foster volunteers, who care for them in safe and secure environments while they grow old enough for basic medical care.

We know how cute they are, and our kittens are very popular! Check here to ensure the cat you’re eager to meet is available for adoption before making your appointment. Kittens are often the first animals to find homes and don’t linger in our shelter for very long, so if you have your heart set on a kitten we encourage you to make an appointment with an open heart.

HOLDS

In order to ensure equity and to prioritize the health and safety of all of our resident cats, we do not place advance holds on any Tree House cats. We understand how easy it is to fall in love with a cat from our site or social media feeds, and how difficult it is to hear that cat has gone home to another family. If you and your family are planning on adopting, we encourage you to make an adoption appointment as soon as you can!
