Wellness Clinic

The Tree House Wellness Clinic was created in 2010 in response to a definite need in the community for basic low-cost veterinary care.  The Wellness Clinic operates from the Tree House BDVM Mac Lean Spay/Neuter Clinic at 1629 N. Ashland Avenue in Chicago.  The Wellness Clinic is open on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The Wellness Clinic serves the cats and dogs of low-income pet guardians, other local animal rescue organizations, and Tree House foster parents who are caring for cats in their homes.  The Wellness Clinic also provides necessary vaccination boosters to patients who’ve recently undergone spay or neuter surgery in our Spay/Neuter Clinic.

While we offer vaccines and limited parasite treatment as part of our spay/neuter packages, we are now able to provide booster vaccines and fecal tests for friendly strays and for feral kittens who are born into feral cat colonies and brought inside for socialization.  Additionally, we can now give low-income pet guardians the option of coming back for more treatments for their pets.  Also, kittens and puppies too young for a rabies vaccine at the time of their spay/neuter surgery can come back to receive it once they're old enough.  Giving these young cats and dogs their boosters and de-worming medication is an important part of their routine care, and now we are able to make that possible for them.

The Wellness Clinic offers thorough veterinary exams, necessary vaccinations, parasite treatments, combo tests for FeLV and FIV, microchipping, fecal tests, de-worming, and addresses other health care needs that may arise.

For more information, please call 773-227-5535, or e-mail us at spay@treehouseanimals.org.
