Pet Food Pantry

Tree House’s pet food assistance program serves low-income or fixed-income families and individuals by providing supplemental food for companion animals. Approximately two weeks of food per month can be provided to enable clients to keep their pets despite financial difficulties. This program is not intended to provide all the food necessary to sustain a pet, rather a supplement to help in a difficult time.

Clients of the Pet Food Assistance Program must meet the following requirements:

Clients must show proof of their low-income status. This includes Social Security Award Letters, Unemployment Award Letters, Disability Award Letters, Medical Cards, etc.

All animals belonging to clients must be spayed or neutered and clients must provide verification. (Note: If a client has unaltered animals, they may be eligible for Tree House’s low-cost Spay/Neuter Program. For information on this program, please call 773-227-5535, ext. 2)

Individuals who meet these requirements are eligible to receive food every other week. Food is distributed at both our locations:

Uptown Headquarters
1212 West Carmen Avenue
Chicago, IL 60640

Every Thursday from 9am-6pm.

For more information on this or other programs, please contact info@treehouseanimals.org

Bucktown Branch
1629 North Ashland Avenue
Chicago, IL 60622

Every Thursday and Saturday from 12pm-4pm.

For more information on this or other programs, please contact bucktownbranch@treehouseanimals.org
