BDVM Mac Lean Spay/Neuter Clinic
The BDVM Mac Lean Spay/Neuter Clinic is the only free and low-cost spay/neuter clinic conveniently serving the north and west sides of Chicago. We specialize in TNR and dedicate most of our services to cats, but we also perform spay/neuter for dogs on Tuesdays and see dogs for vaccines and other care on our Monday Wellness Days.
In 2011, Tree House performed more than 4,000 surgeries, the majority of which were free for feral cats or discounted for pets of individuals on public assistance. This brings our total to more than 25,000 spay/neuter surgeries performed since our founding. Tree House also offers free spay/neuter packages for under-resourced individuals and families in targeted areas who have the greatest need. Mission
For more than 40 years Tree House has been working towards a No Kill Chicago–a city in which pets are not destroyed just because they are homeless. The only way to control cat and dog overpopulation and the killing of adoptable animals is by decreasing birth rates. This is why we started the first low-cost Spay/Neuter Program in the city in the 1980s and expanded our program with the opening of the BDVM Mac Lean Spay/Neuter Clinic – the only low-cost spay/neuter clinic conveniently serving Chicago’s north and west sides.
