Thimbelina

Adorable Thimbelina has made strides in her socialization, blossoming into quite a demanding lap cat. She often sweetly meows until invited into a lap for some quality snuggle time. She is on a prescription diet for her skin allergies. Thimbelina originally came to Tree House after being abandoned on the street in a carrier. She was very shy and suffered from skin allergies so severe that the fur was missing on much of her face and the skin around her eyes was so swollen that she could barely open them to see. Today her skin condition is much improved thanks in part to a prescription diet, and her bright, pretty eyes greet everyone with a sparkle. She is still considered shy, especially around those she is not familiar with so moving slowly when approaching her is necessary to gain her trust. Once this petite girl trusts that you mean her no harm, she is quick to make friends. Thimbelina affectionately rubs against ankles, follows her favorites around like a shadow and happily gives Eskimo kisses with her cute pink nose. She loves playtime; engage her with a wand toy or laser pointer and she will be your pal forever.

Thimbelina has overcome much to trust us as much as she does. Though still a little shy we are sure that she will open her heart to whomever gives her a loving home. Thimbelina is available for adoption today and eager to meet her future adopter.

Spotlight Cats

Yoplait

Maharoger

Uptown Bucktown
Yoplait - Spotlight Maharoger - Spotlight

Yoplait was living outside for quite some time. Her admitter had been feeding her, and one winter day she noticed Yoplait had had kittens! Sadly, five of them froze to death. One survived- Yogurt, who was recently adopted. Both Yoplait's admitter and foster mom described her as sweet as could be! Here at the shelter, though, she is very nervous; she huddles under her blanket, and trembles at the sight of cats. A little chin scratching is all it takes to comfort her- but she deserves so much more.

Maharoger is an absolutely sublime three-year-old gentleman who is patiently waiting for his forever home at our Bucktown branch. He was found abandoned in a backyard when his family moved away. Despite this, this majestic kitty is incredibly affectionate and loving. He is a complete sweetheart who would like nothing more than to chill next to you as you watch your favorite show. Maharoger is an easy-going guy who doesn’t have a fussy bone in his body. In fact, in our recent Kitten Shower event, he stole the show by casually meandering his way around the adoption floor and introducing himself to all the lovely new visitors that crossed his path.. Maharoger adores pets and kisses and would do well in a home alone or with other cats.
