Morris the cat donates $10,000 to Tree House Animal Foundation
Tree House Animal Foundation is honored to announce that we have recently received a $10,000 donation from the 9Lives Morris’ Million Cat Rescue Campaign sponsored by Del Monte Pet Products. This generous donation is being used to renovate the outdoor cat enclosure at Tree House’s new Bucktown Branch so that his fellow felines can bask in the sun and enjoy fresh air while waiting for their new homes.
Morris the classic, orange-tabby cat that has made 9Lives a household name, was adopted from Tree House in the mid-90’s, so this was an opportunity for him to give something back to the more than 300 residents who call Tree House home at any given time.
S yndicated pet columnist and WGN syndicated radio host, Steve Dale, who also serves on the Tree House Board of Directors, has played an integral role in promoting the 9 Lives Morris’ Million Cat Rescue and in connecting the two organizations making this generous gift possible.
Tree House hopes to construct another outdoor cat enclosure at our main branch at 1212 W. Carmen Avenue in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood and we are currently raising money to construct a new low-cost spay/neuter clinic at their Bucktown Branch. Donations for these projects are greatly appreciated and naming opportunities are available.
