Volunteer Opportunities

Housing 300 cats is a huge responsibility - finding the opportunity to spend quality time with each and every one of them is even more difficult. Like many non-profit organizations, volunteers are an integral part of Tree House Animal Foundation, and we rely heavily on their support and hard work. Our feline residents have become an especially pampered group, as they see several dedicated volunteers each day who help to feed, nurture, pet, groom, socialize and take good care of them.

To become a Tree House volunteer, simply email Ollie Davidson to shedule an interview. Once approved, all volunteers will be asked to complete some initial paperwork and participate in an orientation specific to their designated job.

In general, we ask that volunteers commit a minimum of six hours per month. However, that requirement varies based on the program in which you are involved. Volunteers must be 18 years of age for all programs except SNAP (16 years min.) and the Youth Volunteer Program (10-15 years).

As a volunteer, you will receive monthly updates from Tree House via our Volunteer Newsletter and invitations to our special events. You will also be invited to occasional volunteer Social Nights, where you can meet and mingle with other volunteers.

If you have anyfurther questions about volunteering or would like to set up an interview, please e-mail or call Ollie Davidson at (773) 784-5488, ext. 228.
