The Tree House BDVM Mac Lean Clinic is open for business and for the first time ever, we are enjoying the luxury of a separate facility to treat non-resident cats and for the first time, to treat dogs. Through a generous gift from long-time donors Sabrina Mac Lean and Wilton Wheeldon, and a generous grant from PetSmart Charities and the PETCO Foundation, as well as funding from many other individuals, we were able to realize this dream, which brings us that much closer to our goal of creating a no-kill city and ultimately a no-kill nation.
The Spay/Neuter Clinic offers spaying and neutering services, vaccinations, and parasite treatments for cats and dogs. Low-cost services are available to the public, and we offer subsidized rates for low-income clients and TNR practitioners. With the opening of this facility, we hope to increase the number of surgeries we perform for non-resident animals by more than 500 percent (5,000 in the first year of operation) or more as our funding and space allows.
Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Surgery
Pet or Stray CATS: $50*
Pet or Stray DOGS: $95* (under 50 lbs only)
TNR Feral Cat Package $25 (includes vaccinations, parasite treatment, ear-cleaning and more)
* Low-income individuals on public assistance receive reduced rates - call for full details
For more information please call: 773-227-5535, ext. 3.
Please remember that the impact we can make in reducing the stray companion animal population is still dependent upon the amount of funding we receive. Please consider making a gift to the Clinic operations so that we can continue to expand this important program and save more lives.
There are many different levels of financial support that you can provide, and we want to offer the appropriate recognition for your gifts:
* Gifts of $100 to $999 will be listed on our donor display screen in the lobby
* Gifts of $1,000 to $2,999 will be listed on their own leaf plaque on our donor wall
* Gifts of $3,000 to $4,999 will be listed on cat silhouette plaques on our donor wall
* One-time or multi-year gifts totaling $5,000 or more will receive special recognition through naming opportunities and on individual cat plaques on the donor wall.
For more information on naming opportunities for the clinic, please contact Jenny Schlueter at (773) 784-5488 ext. 231 or jenny@treehouseanimals.org. Thank you!
There's another way to help! If you cannot afford to make a contribution to support the Spay/Neuter Clinic Project at this time, but you think you can help us raise some funds for the project, we can help you by establishing a fundraising web page that will help you to solicit funds from friends and colleagues. We can equip the page with a thermometer to set and track fundraising goals, offer tributes to significant donors, and show a scrolling list of donors on your page. For more information about setting up a fundraising page, or to learn more about our plans at the BDVM Mac Lean Clinic and how you can help, please contact Jenny at (773) 784-5488 ext. 231, or jenny@treehouseanimals.org
