Tree House Feral Friends Program

At Tree House, caring for sick, injured, abused and neglected stray cats has been our mission for more than 35 years. Exceptions can be made by calling and asking for an extension to the borrowing period. Extensions can be requested a maximum of two times.*
Recovery Space
- We understand that many people have difficulty finding recovery space for the feral cats they trap. Tree House is offering recovery space for up to 25 ferals at a time at our Bucktown location. To make arrangements for use of recovery space, please contact Jenny at (773) 784-5488 ext. 231 or jschlueter@treehouseanimals.org.
Pet Food Pantry
- Colony caretakers often find themselves with more and more cats to feed even when they are keeping up with spay/neuter.Tree House would like to help caretakers by providing food for their colony cats. Occasionally we may be able to provide linens and other supplies as well. Low-income pet guardians are also eligible to participate in our Pet Food Pantry Program.*
Community Meetings and Workshops
- Tree House has teamed up with Alley Cat Allies to offer city-wide workshops to educate the public about how to care for community cats and other related topics. We truly believe that the key to this issue is education about the many humane options available to deal with feral cats.
