Tree House Offers 100 Free Feral Fixes in Honor of Feral Cat Day!

Tree House Animal Foundation is celebrating National Feral Cat Day by offering 100 FREE Feral Fixes during their October Spay Days. In addition, all feral cats will receive the Tree House Feral Cat Complete Care Package which includes: Spay or Neuter Surgery (with dissolvable sutures), necessary anesthesia and post-surgery pain medication, rabies vaccination, FVRCP vaccination, penicillin (as needed), Revolution (for fleas, ticks and intestinal parasites), ear-tipping, and treating of any wounds. Additional Services includeFIV/FeLV test ($15), and Microchipping ($10).

October Spay Days are scheduled for 10/5, 10/10, 10/12, 10/16, 10/19, 10/23, 10/26 and 10/30. To make an appointment to fix your neighborhood feral cats, please call our Spay/Neuter Hotline at 773.784.5488 ext. 229. Cats must be dropped off in a trap between 7:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. and picked up between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on the same day. Cats will be returned in their traps.

Our feral spay/neuter services are just one part of our newly expanded Feral Friends Program which includes a trap bank, post-surgery recovery space, pet food pantry and sponsorship of community TNR meetings and workshops. Please click here to get a schedule of our upcoming TNR workshops, as we team up with Alley Cat Allies to spread the word.

There are an estimated 60-80 million feral cats in the United States, but thanks to a growing number of organizations and individuals participating in Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) - a relatively new and increasingly widespread humane method of managing feral cat colonies - there is hope that we can drastically reduce the number of cats born on the street while respecting the lives of these animals.
