Hill's Cat & Dog Adoption Event at Tree House Uptown
on Saturday, August 16!

HELP SAVE CHICAGO-AREA HOMELESS PETS

Hill’s Offers Free Cat & Dog Adoptions
to Chicago Residents

WHAT:
The Hill’s “Second Chance for Love” Tour will be in the Chicago area to encourage local residents to help save the lives of one million Cats and Dogs by the end of 2008. Area residents can support this national pledge and give a local cat or dog a second chance for love by visiting the Tree House Humane Society on Saturday, August 16.

As part of the tour, Hill’s will cover the adoption fee for the first 25 adoptions that are approved between 12 pm and 3pm and provide these owners with a new pet starter kit during a special event at the Tree House Humane Society. In addition, celebrity pet photographer Jim Dratfield will be on hand to capture a special photograph of pet owners with their adopted cat or dog. The photographs will be available to consumers online following the adoption event.

New and current pet owners will have the opportunity to share their own adoption success stories and learn more about proper pet nutrition. Pet owners can also visit www.HillsPet.com/secondchance to submit their pet adoption stories and photographs as part of the Second Chance Contest. Contest entries will be accepted through November 4 th.

WHY:
According to the Humane Society of United States (HSUS), each year 6 to 8 million cats and dogs enter animal shelters in the United States. Hill’s is committed to raising awareness for shelter adoption through the Second Chance for Love program. In fact last year alone, the company donated more than $30 million worth of food which in turn helped 931,247 pets find new loving homes. The “Second Chance for Love” program is the largest adoption initiative in the company’s history.
