#TreeHouseCats ❤️🐾🐈
501(c)(3) in Chicago since 1971 — Adoption, TNR, Café

Korra recently celebrated one year at Tree House! Korra recently celebrated one year at Tree House! 🥳

That’s one year of #TeamTreeHouse laughing at her goofy antics, growing close to her feisty but loving personality, and cheering her on as she waits for her adopter. 💞

We know her match is out there—someone who will see what we see: bright, expressive eyes, a playful streak, and a hidden well of affection for her favorite humans.

Not ready to adopt? You can still support Korra (and #TreeHouseCats like her). She stars on our Yearbook Trio t-shirt, available in tons of styles and colors—and every purchase helps cats in need. 👚

For over 30 years, Renata Fulk and her family have For over 30 years, Renata Fulk and her family have been a part of Tree House’s mission in every way imaginable: her dad, Barry, served on the Board of Directors, she and her mom, Bobbi Ann, volunteered at the shelter, and every family cat has been a proud Tree House alum. Finally, Renata brought home her own piece of Tree House with Corndog, a tabby with a golden coat matching his sweet personality. 🧡

Corndog loves to window watch, play with wand toys, and follow Renata around the house with his enthusiastic chirps. “I couldn’t imagine a life without him,” says Renata. “He is the best cat!” 😻😍

Accompanied by his dashing crochet sidekick, Corndog is the newest chapter in a legacy of service and compassion shared between Tree House and the Fulk family—a legacy building toward an even brighter future. 💫
Are you ready to make your parents… grandparents Are you ready to make your parents… grandparents?! 😱

Before you shout, “IN THIS ECONOMY?!”—hold that thought. We’re not talking diapers and daycare. We’re talking about adopting a CAT. 🐱

Grandparents Day is tomorrow, and these #TreeHouseCats are ready to be your baby…and your parents’ new grandbaby:

When tiny Buckcherry arrived at Tree House with he When tiny Buckcherry arrived at Tree House with her mom and sister, she was in rough shape. A severe respiratory infection made it hard for her to nurse, and she came to us weak, underweight, and in need of extra care. 💞

Neonatal support is one of the most resource-intensive parts of sheltering—tiny kittens often need incubators, oxygen, bottle-feeding every few hours, and constant monitoring. No single person can do it alone, which is why volunteers and fosters are so essential. With more helping hands, fragile kittens like Buck can get the round-the-clock care they need to survive and thrive. 🙏

#TeamTreeHouse set her up in an incubator with oxygen support, keeping her warm and stable while she regained her strength. Thanks to this kind of dedicated care—and the support of a community willing to step in—Buck is now making steady progress. Her eyes are still being treated, but her playful spirit and determination are shining through. 🌟

Mazzy Star has only one eye, but she’s looking at a bright future with her best friend—an energetic “house panther” named McRib. 😽😽

Thanks to you, this duo met in our shelter and were made a #BetterTogether pair: Each kitty had an abundance of energy to channel out into playtime, so pairing them together as playmates made purrfect sense! They were adopted into the same home, where they can continue to wrestle it out each day. And today, they’re hoping you can help their feline friends who are still waiting for their #HappyEndingTails. 📚️

Cardinal and Canary’s story shows that a happy e Cardinal and Canary’s story shows that a happy ending isn’t just a moment—it continues in the love that remains. 💌

At thirteen years old, these bonded ginger brothers have truly found their place. After being adopted together this spring, they settled into a home where love and comfort surround them every day. Cardi enjoyed his golden months with snuggles from his mom, lap time with his canine siblings, and the kind of peace that we wish for every senior cat. When it was his time to cross the rainbow bridge, he left this world purring—held close and deeply loved. 🌈❤️

Today, Canary carries that love forward. He’s thriving with his mom and dog siblings, soaking up attention from extended family and even charming the staff at his vet clinic. He’s recently discovered the joy of being a lap cat (even if he doesn’t quite fit!). 😆

Canary’s story reminds us that senior pets aren’t just waiting for a home—they’re ready to bring joy, comfort, and companionship right now. His
happy new chapter is still being written, one cozy snuggle at a time. 📖

To you, it’s just an old beach towel you’ll re To you, it’s just an old beach towel you’ll replace next summer. 🏖️

To #TreeHouseCats, it’s a soft, cozy bed. For a sick kitty in a shelter, comfort makes all the difference—and that’s where towels come in. 💗

Why towels? They’re soft and warm, and they hold up well to bleach and high-heat drying. That means they stay both clean and comforting—the perfect combo for cats who need a safe place to rest and recover.

Just three days ago, Vivace and her choir of kittens—Allegra, Adagio, Andante, Moderato, and Presto—came to us from @‌wcasanimals. 🎶 Thanks to donated towels, they were able to rest comfortably in our isolation ward while waiting for a foster volunteer to bring them home. Clean, cozy bedding helps keep this little family safe from illness as they grow.

‼️ Have new or gently used towels you don’t need anymore? Drop them off at our shelter at 7225 N. Western Ave. in Chicago and help give cats a healthy start to their #HappyEndingTails!

🛒 Or, with a few clicks, you can send new towels to Tree House, using our Amazon wish list: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3A9ET2JDJWQ7P?leftNavSection=SharedWithYou&ref_=abls_lnv_us
Newbi’s name means “New Beginnings”—and he Newbi’s name means “New Beginnings”—and he’s ready for his next chapter! 📖

After a fall from a balcony left him with two fractured legs and broken teeth, his family, who loved him dearly, made the heartbreaking choice to surrender him to Animal Control so he could get the emergency care he needed—care that’s often out of reach for many families. 💔

That’s where our team met him. At Tree House, Newbi bravely underwent a back leg amputation and dental surgery to remove his injured teeth. 🦴🦷 After recovering comfortably in a foster home, he’s ready for his new beginning and is now available for adoption. 🏡💕

Accessible, affordable emergency veterinary care is critical to keeping families and their beloved pets together. While we are grateful to know and care for Newbi, we also know that a better, more comprehensive system would have prevented this unfortunate meeting. Our community vet care programs aim to make small but fundamental steps to mend these fractured systems of care, and we know whatever Newbi's future holds, he will continue to receive a legacy of love and support.

So what’s a helper cat? It’s a confident, outgoing kitty who helps shy cats learn that humans can be friends. Recently, Shadowheart took #TreeHouseCats Treeepie and Pipit under his wing—turning them from wallflowers into social butterflies who found amazing homes. ✨

Every cat (and human!) Shadowheart meets shines a little brighter. He makes the room more playful, spreads smiles and laughter, and is as cuddly as they come. Whether he’s being carried like a baby or wrestling with a feline buddy, this sweet boy is all love.

With a little help from his friends, this rockin’ kitty went from street life to stardom—Ringo’s Happy Ending Tail is one worth singing about! 🎤🎶

This handsome Siamese mix started as a Tree House community cat, but fate had other plans in store for his future. 🔮 Ringo wandered into Adrianne’s backyard one day, and though he already charmed the neighbors, he always came back to her warm welcome. 🤗 Adrianne built him a cozy cottage, complete with a heater, camera, and daily meals. With each visit, every soft meow and pawstep on the porch, their bond grew stronger. 💗

A few months later, Adrianne knew it was time to welcome Ringo inside and say goodbye to his days outdoors. 👋 Now, he lives a luxe life in a loving home with his three fabulous feline siblings. He still has that curious-cat spark, but most days you’ll find him soaking up the cozy comfort of home at last. ⚡🌞

You could say Ringo’s been here, there, and everywhere, but now, he’s found the place he truly belongs. 😻 The colorful world of @ponnopozz is a whole lot more vibrant and brighter with Ringo around! 🌈✨
